Diversity Initiatives
Advancing our diversity and inclusion effort at Ubium Bank is essential to our success. Our diversity initiatives are long-term and tied to our mission which focuses on what we uniquely strive to provide: a smart, simple, human experience for every customer. Learn more about our mission.
Our Diversity Council was established to further advance our diversity and inclusion efforts. The council is inclusive and representative of the diversity of our associate population, with respect to location and demographics. They are associates who are deeply committed to our diversity efforts and whose goals and objectives align with Ubium Bank goals and objectives. We recognize that our diversity initiative is long-term and that commitment of time and resources are essential to us accomplishing our diversity objectives.
Diversity Dialogues are monthly calls that highlight a particular topic about diversity and inclusion. Prior to the call a topic is delivered, with accompanying questions to every associate. The goal is for associates to have a safe place to talk about topics that may be viewed as difficult.We pride ourselves on veteran outreach and recruiting. Our goal is to hire and retain our service men and women as well as provide them the tools and resources to be successful in their careers at Ubium Bank. We are dedicated to helping our veteran associates whether military veterans, veterans with disabilities, or active-duty military.
Ubium Bank has formed Associate Resource Groups within our organization. Each resource group is organized by associates with common backgrounds, experiences or other similarities. Just like the Diversity Council, the resource groups align with Ubium Bank overall business strategy and promote programs, activities and training to our customers, our people and our communities.
Diversity Champions support Ubium’s Bank Diversity Strategy and Initiatives. They work as an advocate for diversity and inclusion within their workforce and help build awareness among associates throughout our footprint. Champions at Ubium Bank are seen as conduits for sharing information, a driver of change within the organization and a leader that supports a diverse and inclusive workforce.
